For the Burberry Flagship store the architects had chosen to launch a ground breaking digital approach making them stand out from other luxury retailers, whilst also refurbishing its original features.
This required Cableduct to design floor boxes that could supply all the power and data needs whilst blending into the unique architecture. Covered here are just two of eleven unique designs. The first to fit the parquet flooring, and the second to fit into a curved bronze ventilation grill. As well as the bespoke outlet flap requirements for the floor boxes, they had to be designed to fit the parquet pattern whilst avoiding the steel beams making up the suspended floor system.
As part of their design, each area of the store was fitted with varying exceptional floor finishes. The problem was how to get the required power and data to the displays whilst blending seamlessly with the beautiful floor finishes.
Cableduct designed a range of bespoke boxes, each tailored to the floor finish. See below the tabs showing each individual solution.
The designs have been rolled out to all new Burberry stores.
