What’s the difference between flush floor and under floor in-screed trunking?

Flush floor is level with the top of the screed and can contain floor boxes along the trunking run (usually 2000 Series floor boxes). Underfloor in-screed is buried in the screed.

How much space is there in flush floor trunking for cables and the floor box?

The trunking acts as the base box of the floor box, you’re only putting a plug top and 6mm lid on the trunking. The cables run under the outlet plates.

How many trunking compartments, bends and accessories do I need?

A good start point is to see the relevant datasheet and installation guide and send us a “shopping list” of lengths/bends/end caps/tees that you want, with quantities.

Can I install your floor boxes with trunking?

You can install a floor box with underfloor trunking if the trunking is at least 55mm deep. The type of floor box will differ depending on the exact situation. Please ask our technical team for their advice

What is the difference between skirting and dado trunking?

Skirting runs around the edge of the wall at floor level whereas dado does the same but at waist height. Options are available for square or chamfered top and bottom. Finish is galvanised steel, pre-painted white or stainless steel.

What fixings do I need for trunking

Our Trunking is supplied with enough fixings and accessories for standard installations. Projects can vary and so please discuss details of your project with our team. Fixings and installations information is available in Downloads/Trunking
