Car showroom flooring solutions

Lighting is essential and all connections and power supply must be discreet and safely contained. The floor covering is one of the key elements of the décor in a sparsely furnished showroom space and its integrity must be protected by keeping floor boxes as subtle and beautiful as possible and to make it as easy as possible to keep clean.

Electric car charging

The rapid growth of electric car sales, which is expected to increase even further, means that electric cars are needing more and more space in showrooms. They need charging overnight and periodically for test drives and so require access to subtly-located power sockets which enhance the premium quality feel.

The weight of cars also means that the floor boxes must be robust enough to last. This requires an extra strength lid and floor box, which is one of Cableduct’s specialties.

Car showrooms often double up as events spaces with catering and services counters requiring local and safe access to power sockets, which must remain discreet and out of sight when not in use.

This depends on the number of power plug sockets and data/ AV points you want. These are mounted in metal outlet plates within the floor box and these decide what size and shape of floor box you can have. See also Downloads/Floor box chooser.
