Heritage residential applications

Gloucester Cathedral inside

Thousands of residential buildings and properties are protected through listing and being located in conservation areas. Many of these are in great need of modernisation but require specific solutions that are in keeping with the architectural character of the property.

Heritage commercial applications

Alexandra Palace

Heritage properties are also prevalent in the commercial sector and the country's institutions, ranging from traditional shops, offices and membership organisations to industrial buildings with significant historical interest. Our floor boxes and trunking systems can help to bring these buildings into the 21st century in terms of technological utilisation without having a negative impact on their heritage aesthetic.

How do I decide which floor box to install?

Complete our floor box chooser to help you choose the perfect floor box for your project. It is quick and easy to use and allows you to explore all the possible features and options of our floor boxes.

How big should my floor box be for my plug sockets and data points?

This depends on the number of power plug sockets and data/ AV points you want. These are mounted in metal outlet plates within the floor box and these decide what size and shape of floor box you can have. See also Downloads/Floor box chooser.

What finishes can you do?

Standard finishes are stainless steel and satin brass but we also do beautiful bespoke finishes such as antique brass, antique bronze and jordan bronze to match your interior décor and other accessories. See also Finishes section in Product solutions

Can we have bespoke shapes and sizes like parallelograms and match parquet timber flooring?

Yes. Cableduct specialises in making floor boxes in special shapes and sizes to suit our customers’ projects. See bespoke solutions in Product solutions.

How much underfloor space do you need for your floor boxes?

Our base boxes can be 55mm, 65mm, 85mm or 120mm deep. 85mm and 120mm are more flexible and give most plug top and wiring space. 55mm and 65mm are shallow boxes and have limited plug top and wiring space. See also Downloads/Floor box chooser

How big does the cut-out in the floor need to be for my floor box?

Site conditions can vary but please see Downloads/Floor boxes for installation guides.
