Peacock Flounder fish are found in relatively shallow waters in the Indo-Pacific. They use cryptic coloration to avoid being detected by both prey and predators. They have the ability to constantly change colours and patterns to blend into their surroundings and the sea-floor. They were even able to match the pattern of a checkerboard that they were placed on.
Four frames of the same fish taken a few minutes apart show the ability of flounders to change colours to suit the surroundings.
The barely-visible Cableduct 700 series floor box integrates perfectly into a mosaic tiled floor.
