Why choose 4 compartment floor boxes from Cableduct

open floorbox

4 compartment floor boxes are engineered for high-capacity installations where full service segregation is essential. Typical in open-plan offices, training centres or large meeting rooms, these boxes can house multiple combinations of power, data, AV and control services — each in its own dedicated section.

Their layout helps with compliance, reduces interference, and makes servicing or upgrades more straightforward. They are often installed centrally in areas where multiple users require access to different utilities from a single floor point.

Despite their capacity, 4 compartment boxes maintain a low-profile lid and can be recessed for a flush finish. Custom socket layouts, flap access, and finish options make them a highly flexible choice for demanding environments.

How do I decide which floor box to install?

Complete our floor box chooser to help you choose the perfect floor box for your project. It is quick and easy to use and allows you to explore all the possible features and options of our floor boxes.

How big should my floor box be for my plug sockets and data points?

This depends on the number of power plug sockets and data/ AV points you want. These are mounted in metal outlet plates within the floor box and these decide what size and shape of floor box you can have. See also Downloads/Floor box chooser.

What finishes can you do?

Standard finishes are stainless steel and satin brass but we also do beautiful bespoke finishes such as antique brass, antique bronze and jordan bronze to match your interior décor and other accessories. See also Finishes section in Product solutions

Can we have bespoke shapes and sizes like parallelograms and match parquet timber flooring?

Yes. Cableduct specialises in making floor boxes in special shapes and sizes, including round floor boxes, to suit our customers’ projects. See bespoke solutions in Product solutions.

How much underfloor space do you need for your floor boxes?

Our base boxes can be 55mm, 65mm, 85mm or 120mm deep. 85mm and 120mm are more flexible and give most plug top and wiring space. 55mm and 65mm are shallow boxes and have limited plug top and wiring space. See also Downloads/Floor box chooser

How big does the cut-out in the floor need to be for my floor box?

Site conditions can vary but please see Downloads/Floor boxes for installation guides.
