Cavity floor boxes are designed for installation in floors with a void beneath the surface — such as timber floors on battens, structural decks, or raised access systems with a gap. These boxes make use of the available cavity space to house electrical and data services without disturbing the floor’s structural integrity.
They’re suitable for offices, education buildings, hotels, and heritage renovations where the subfloor can’t be chased or drilled. Cableduct’s cavity floor boxes are typically adjustable to suit varying void depths and are available with 1–4 internal compartments depending on service requirements.
Lids can be recessed or metal-finished, with optional cable flaps for in-use access. Compact and versatile, cavity boxes offer an efficient way to deliver power and data in retrofits or raised floor builds without the need for screeding.
